Daoud Awad specializes in advising companies on the development and implementation of real estate strategies that connect with the overall operational, financial and risk management structures of their firms. Utilizing JLL’s global platform of the most advanced technology tools, market research, financial engineering, and design and workplace professionals, he works with clients to craft business solutions that support their business goals with the optimal real estate solution. Daoud joined JLL in 2005.
Daoud’s 40 years of experience encompass transactional and regulatory matters, as well as risk management, corporate governance, performance measurement and corporate planning. He began his career in private law practice with Gibson Dunn & Crutcher in Los Angeles, London and New York. Daoud later became the Head of the Legal Department and then Co-Head of Corporate Planning for Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation (SMBC) in New York. While at SMBC, he was responsible for the management, oversight and administration of various strategic planning activities for SMBC’s Americas division.
Daoud has represented financial services firms such as ABN AMRO, Amalgamated Bank, ANZ Bank, Bank Hapoalim, Centerline Capital Group, Collibra, Commerzbank, Guardian Life Insurance Company of America, Japan Bank for International Cooperation, KCG, Mitsubishi UFJ Trust & Banking, Natixis, Nippon Life Global Investors America, Norinchukin Bank, OpenLink, SMBC, Van Eck Global and Viking Global.
