Darryl Schmidt is the Vice President National Leasing for the Western Canada Portfolio of The Cadillac Fairview Corporation based out of their regional offices in Calgary. A twenty four year veteran of retail leasing, Darryl began his career in Edmonton tackling a wide array of leasing and development assignments with Melton Real Estate, Pioneer Property Group, First City Shopping Centre Group and Triple Five Corporation prior to joining Cadillac Fairview in 1996. His leasing experience has touched the full range of retail asset types including street, strip, power, community and regional shopping centers in each of the western provinces. Mr. Schmidt has also worked on some of Western Canada’s largest super regional shopping centre’s including West Edmonton Mall, Polo Park Shopping Centre and most recently Chinook Centre and the 180,000 square expansion. Darryl holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Alberta, has a Senior Certified Leasing Specialist designation from the International Council of Shopping Centre’s, and also maintains an Associates license with the Alberta Real Estate Association. His interests include hockey, skiing and wine collecting.
