David Brackney is the president of TA Realty Partners Inc., a Chicago real estate investment and brokerage business that specializes in servicing the Asian Market with an emphasis on opportunistic deals and their unique structure.
Prior to TA Realty, Mr. Brackney was President of Brackney & Associates Inc. from 1990 – 2009 where he developed and built over twenty (20) strip centers that were predominately located in secondary markets. During this time he owned and sold a portfolio of properties in excess of $200 million dollars.
From 1980 – 1990, Mr. Brackney was a Senior Vice President at Continental Illinois National Bank, located in Chicago, Illinois. He travelled extensively throughout Europe and Asia while managing the Bank’s International Real Estate Portfolio.
Mr. Brackney has developed a network of connections and relationships that cross over any and all real estate asset classes and has developed a solid working reputation within the greater Chicagoland area with both his property knowledge and many relationship skills.
He has recently completed a $20 million acquisition in Atlanta, Georgia which invloved the re-development of a 180,000 square foot retail center that was converted to a predominately Asian Marketplace anchored by H Mart Korean Grocery store. He is currently involved in a 400,000 square foot mixed use project in Chinatown (Chicago) and is with a development team that is building a 550 bed student housing project in Champaign, Illinois which is tailored for the Asian student base at that University.
