David Brandenburger serves as a Managing Director in Newmark’s Sacramento office. He specializes in the representation of tenants and landlords in the leasing and sale of properties in the greater Sacramento area with particular focus on the Natomas, Downtown, Midtown and Elk Grove submarkets. Brandenburger has completed more than 400 deals totaling over 4.0 million square feet with a cumulative value in excess of $500 million. Notable deals include the representation of Pappas Investments in the leasing of a 285,000-square-foot build-to-suit office campus in Elk Grove to the state of California and the representation of JMA Ventures in its acquisition of Downtown Plaza in Sacramento. The 680,000-square-foot shopping mall was subsequently sold to the new ownership group of the Sacramento Kings, which recently completed the $560 million Golden 1 Center and adjacent Kimpton Hotel, as well as over 1 million square feet of additional office and retail space. Prior to joining Newmark, Brandenburger was a leading sales agent for a company that produces conferences and tradeshows in the technology industry. His clients included EDS, HP, Intel, Microsoft and Oracle. Brandenburger provides his clients with in-depth knowledge of corporate structure and marketing strategy as well as enterprise sales skills and unparalleled customer service. Brandenburger is a member and on the Board of Directors of the Sacramento Rotary Club and is the Head Coach for the Christian Brothers Women’s Water Polo team. He is a past president of the Active 20-30 Club of Sacramento, a service organization that raises money and sponsors hands-on events for underprivileged and disabled children in the area. He is also past president of the board of the League to Save Lake Tahoe and a member of the Association of Commercial Real Estate (ACRE) and the Land Park Community Association.
