Bio
David Guion is an office leasing broker in the Houston office of Cushman & Wakefield of Texas, Inc. (C&W). Mr. Guion is a licensed real estate salesperson in the State of Texas and a licensed attorney in the State of Texas. He has more than ten years experience in sales, finance, and law. He works with Tim D. Relyea, Vice Chairman, and Joseph E. Peddie, Executive Vice President, two of the nation’s top brokers. Mr. Guion represents tenants in their office requirements, including new leases, renewals, build-to-suits, extensions, re-negotiations and related assignments.
Prior to joining C&W, Mr. Guion practiced law in Houston concentrating on civil and commercial litigation. He also was President of D&G Investment Group, Inc. an investment firm located in Dallas in which he was the co-founder.
Mr. Guion earned his Juris Doctorate from South Texas College of Law after attending Southern Methodist University for undergraduate studies and later obtaining his BBA degree in finance from Southwest Texas State University. He also studied comparative constitutional rights and negotiation strategies at the University of Malta in Valleta, Malta.
Mr. Guion is an active member of the State Bar of Texas, Houston Young Lawyers Association, Houston Bar Association and American Bar Association. He has mentored for the H.O.S.T.S. Mentor Program, Project GRAD, and has volunteered at the Goodwill Industries in Houston. Mr. Guion has also been involved in community law events benefiting the Houston Area Women’s Center. In 2007 and 2008, Mr. Guion was a NAIOP Commercial Real Estate Development Association finalist for the “Rising Star” award in office brokerage.
