David Maggio leads the investment process for the LEO Impact Capital platform, where he is responsible for identifying investment opportunities and the underwriting, due diligence, and acquisition processes. David is also responsible for building and maintaining relationships with brokers, landowners, financing partners, and potential JV partners. Prior to JBG SMITH, he was the Vice President of Acquisitions and Asset Management for the Housing Partnership Equity Trust (HPET), a private workforce housing REIT, where he acquired over 3,000 multifamily units in joint-ventures involving 14 nonprofit housing developers nationwide.? Prior to HPET, he led a team of Underwriters and Asset Managers at Fannie Mae. David holds a B.A. in Economic and Political Science from Binghamton University.
