David Martel joined Newmark Knight Frank in 2015 as an executive managing director in the firm's Boston office, where he advises tenants, landlords and investors on leasing and sale transactions in Boston's real estate market. Co-managing a deep and experienced team of high quality advisors, Mr. Martel and his team work closely with the NKF team from Boston, which is widely recognized as one of the most powerful and accomplished capital markets operations in the country.
Mr. Martel's clients include some of the largest U.S. corporations as well as local boutiques. Mr. Martel played a central role in the Boston headquarters leases for Bain Capital, Brown Brothers Harriman and JP Morgan. He also takes significant pride in helping smaller companies and early stage ventures navigate the marketplace.
Mr. Martel has also advised some of the best-known landlords and investors in the U.S. During his 28-year career, he has represented some of Boston's most iconic buildings, including The John Hancock Tower, International Place, One Beacon Street, One Financial Center, Ten/10 Post Office Square and One Winthrop Square.
Mr. Martel's team has built a practice centered on information, which is the critical component to developing insights and strategies to make optimal real estate decisions for their clients.
Prior to joining NKF, Mr. Martel served for 12 years as an executive vice president with Cushman & Wakefield in Boston. Earlier in his career, Mr. Martel was a partner with Spaulding & Slye Colliers for 10 years.
Mr. Martel earned a bachelor degree in political science from Providence College.
