Professional Expertise
David specializes in structuring and analyzing complex financial transactions. His expertise includes evaluating the cash, GAAP, and book impact of a traditional real estate lease versus either ownership or a more esoteric financial structure, such as a leveraged lease. David’s expertise allows his clients to optimize the structure of their real estate holdings, resulting in increased flexibility and lower real estate expenses.
Since joining Studley in 1999, David has led the financial team on assignments for many of Studley’s most prestigious regional and national clients, from major national corporations and professional service firms to government entities and trade associations. His includes leading 525,000-square-foot assemblage/build-to-suit and the disposition of their previous headquarters for the law firm of WilmerHale LLP and serving as financial manager on the purchase of AARP’s 550,000-square-foot headquarters building.
Activities & Achievements
David was honored with a “Transaction of the Year” award by Washington, D.C. Commercial Real Estate Brokers Association for twice for transactions on behalf of WilmerHale and for the AARP headquarters acquisition.
Education
David was an Economics major and President of the Political Union at Yale.
