Bio
David Runnells is one of a select few brokers who gets results by leveraging great relationships with the latest business intelligence and tremendous creativity. In addition to working in commercial real estate for 17 years, David has worked in the corporate sector, so he understands the needs of business owners and investors.
Having worked with Fortune 500 companies such as Whirlpool, Proctor and Gamble, Apple and Cargill greatly benefits David’s real estate clients. Knowing what drives companies propels him to create investment strategies that maximize returns. Thinking like a business owner has saved David’s landlords and tenants valuable time and money. For example, rather than selling multiple properties individually as others had been attempting in one project, David’s research led him to reposition and sell the entire development to a neighboring competitor, allowing that competitor to maintain his margins and David’s client to get his price quickly and reinvest. The client was delighted to save hundreds of thousands of dollars and a year of carrying-costs off the project. This type of creativity was a great launch point in finding success early on by thinking differently.
David takes a proactive and targeted approach by selecting projects with his team that he is certain they can deliver on, whether it be new development, redevelopment, investment creation or positioning tenants in the marketplace.
In addition to his work, David is active in his church, has spent many years in the BSA program, sat on the board of directors for Timpanogos Academy, and helped promote the arts in Orem through passing the C.A.R.E. tax. David played collegiate racquetball for BYU and enjoys running, hiking and cycling.
