David Thor is a Managing Director in Jones Lange LaSalle’s Integrated Portfolio Services Group, based in Pittsburgh, PA. Mr. Thor creates value for his clients by developing holistic real estate strategies that address their financial, cultural and operational objectives. Mr. Thor advises and transacts on behalf of occupiers of corporate real estate – locally, nationally, and globally.
With over 25 years of professional services experience, Mr. Thor came to JLL from a Fortune 500 management consulting firm where he advised many of the world’s leading corporations. Mr. Thor brings over a decade of commercial real estate experience and in-depth knowledge of market shifts and current workplace trends. He is recognized for employing a holistic and analytical approach to corporate real estate strategy and skilled in designing and executing innovative solutions that align real estate with the underlying organizational objectives. The results of Mr. Thor’s work include reductions in occupancy expense, increased employee productivity, improved talent recruiting & retention, portfolio agility, and regulatory compliance. Mr. Thor leads both the Financial Services (FS) and Architectural, Constuction & Engineering (ACE) vertical for JLL’s Pittburgh office. He has successfully closed over 750 transactions with a total market value in excess of $3,500,000,000. A representative list of Mr. Thor’s clients include: F.N.B. Corporation, Civil & Environmental Consultants, CNX Resources, Discount Tire, Evoqua Water Technologies, Qintel, and PennEnergy Resources.
Mr. Thor is a graduate of the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University. His professional designations include the Society of Industrial and Office Realtors (SIOR), Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM), Master of Corporate Real Estate (MCR), LEED Accredited Professional, Institute of Real Estate Management Investment Real Estate Financing and Valuation and he is a licensed Real Estate Salesperson in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Mr. Thor is past President of the Pittsburgh’s Chapter for CoreNet Global and is a member of the United States Green Building Council (USGBC), National Association of Industrial and Office Properties (NAIOP), the Urban Land Institute (ULI), and Young Professionals in Energy. Mr. Thor is a graduate of Leadership Pittsburgh and he serves on the Executive Committee of the Pittsburgh Botanic Garden.
