Dell Nichols has been active in the commercial / industrial real estate industry since 1975. His experience as a broker, property owner, and developer has given him a comprehensive understanding of development, construction, operations, and marketing of commercial projects within the industrial, retail and office sectors.
Dell currently serves as CEO and principal of Dell Nichols Commercial Real Estate LLC, (DNCRE). He left the role of Director of Strategic Services for Commerce/ Cushman-Wakefield in December 2013 and launched DNCRE. For nearly two thirds of his career he has operated from the national platforms of Cushman-Wakefield Alliance, Colliers International, or New American Network, wherein he also served as Director of Development Services and later Corporate Services. Otherwise he has headed his own commercial brokerage and development companies. Dell launched DNCRE and is the main principal of the real estate operating company, remaining active in the business of buying, selling, and developing commercial properties in the region.
His expertise provides clientele with a full menu of investment brokerage options, solutions to difficult and unusual transactions, and added value transactional services. Dell has significant experience in the acquisition and disposition of travel centers and convenience stores, freestanding and multi-tenant retail properties, low and mid-rise office buildings, and all types of industrial properties. He also has experience with properties held by U.S. bankruptcy estates, receiverships, and financial institutions. As a business development professional, Dell has owned, developed, and operated various businesses within the Utah market, including bagel, burger, and pizza food services, nationally branded convenience stores, and retail locations in recreational vehicle sales – parts and service, as well movie theaters and executive office suites. In addition, he is responsible for establishing the 2001 National Championship Utah Blitzz men’s professional soccer team in Utah.
His experience is augmented by his achievement of the prestigious CCIM and SIOR designations in 1985 and in participation in industry organizations, such as the National Association of Industrial and Office Parks (NAIOP) and International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC).
