Dennis V. Cieri, co-founder of EDEN Property Company started his real estate career in 1986 with Ursillo Associates, a Real Estate Developer and Broker based in Hackensack, New Jersey. After getting his real estate license, Mr. Cieri successfully completed sales and leases with local and regional companies, totaling over two million square feet.
In 1990, Mr. Cieri was hired by DeRuggiero, Inc., a Real Estate Developer and Broker based in Union City, New Jersey. While at DeRuggiero, Mr. Cieri was responsible for turning around a portfolio of inner city distressed properties. Within one year through intensive marketing and leasing efforts Mr. Cieri was able to increase the occupancy level of the portfolio to 95%.
In 1994, Mr. Cieri co-founded North American Land Co., a real estate brokerage and advisory firm with offices located in Elizabeth, New Jersey. Over the next two years Mr. Cieri focused on acquiring and redeveloping under-performing retail properties many of which were in various stages of foreclosure. During this time Mr. Cieri completed transactions with PNC Bank, First Union Bank, National Westminster Bank and Berkeley Financial.
From April of 1996 to December of 2000, Mr. Cieri was Director of Real Estate for the Nassimi Corporation, a privately held New York City based Real Estate Investor and Developer. Mr. Cieri was responsible for managing a portfolio of over 1,000,000 square feet of retail, industrial, and office space. Specific responsibilities included leasing; financing; new acquisitions and dispositions. While working at Nassimi Mr. Cieri originated and completed the development of a 200,000 SF community shopping center located in New Jersey as well as the acquisition and redevelopment of a 500,000 SF power center located in Pennsylvania.
In January of 2001 Mr. Cieri accepted the position of Director of Leasing and Development for Lavipour and Company, Inc., a New York City based owner and developer of strip shopping centers and malls. While with Lavipour, Mr. Cieri handled the leasing of a portfolio of three million square feet of retail space in the greater New York and Philadelphia markets.
Mr. Cieri attended law school in the evening while working full time as a real estate broker and graduated from Seton Hall University with a Juris Doctorate in 1996. He received his undergraduate degree in finance from Rutgers University in 1990. Mr. Cieri resides in Rutherford, New Jersey. He owns 2 health clubs in New Jersey and is currently the holder of five world records in the Bench Press. He is a member of the New York and New Jersey Bar Associations, a licensed New Jersey Real Estate broker and is a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers.
