Dennis C. Nembhard serves as an Executive Managing Director at Helmsley Spear, LLC focusing on commercial leasing, investment sales, capital markets, and asset management.
Prior to joining Helmsley Spear, Mr. Nembhard served as CEO at the asset management firm Regal Management and Systems, Inc. Prior to Regal, Mr. Nembhard was affiliated with Cushman & Wakefield, where his association lasted for over 15 years. While there, Mr. Nembhard negotiated commercial office leases and served as an Administrator for over 3,300 commercial office leasing transactions. Mr. Nembhard also assisted in the planning process for the leasing, construction and build out of approximately 1.6 million square feet of tenant office space, including the New Jersey Foreign Trade Zone project.
In addition, Mr. Nembhard worked with the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation. in Washington, D.C. where he served as Senior Real Estate Credit Officer and outside BOA Contractor. Mr. Nembhard was responsible for the management, purchase and assumption of the commercial and residential (ORE) real estate assets from failed loan institutions in the North-Eastern Region of the United States. In addition, he assisted in and supervised a corporate staffing plan for 1,700 employees and 350 outside contractors and vendors. Mr. Nembhard is also an FDIC trained Forensic Bank Subsidiary Investigator and Accountant, to identify corruption and fraud, that may lead to criminal prosecution through the United States Department of Justice.
Mr. Nembhard served as Executive Director at Regal Management Ventures, LLC. During his time there, Mr. Nembhard successfully completed a leasing and management program encompassing 3 million square feet of commercial office facilities in Washington, D.C. and New York City, and New England.
Mr. Nembhard, also served as real estate consultant to the principal owner for the United National Hospital’s development and conversion to a 300,000 square foot education and training facility to memorialize the Honorable Congressman Donald M. Payne Senior. Additionally, Mr. Nembhard was a consultant broker to the New York Health Center for the development of new construction medical campus, for training, research/development, and housing for 610 postgraduates. The estimated size of the property is approximately 250,000 square feet.
Mr. Nembhard graduated from New York University where he earned his BA Se in Business Administration and Organization Management as well as attending New York University Real Estate Institute earning his Real Estate Certification. He is a proud father of two daughters and two sons and currently resides in New Jersey.
