Bio
“The struggle itself towards the heights is enough to fill a man's heart. One must imagine Sisyphus happy.”
-Albert Camus
Dino Monteverde is a commercial real estate agent at Sarhan Hotel Group who specializes in hospitality investments in the United States and Japan. As a first-generation immigrant from the Philippines, Dino served honorably in the U.S. Marine Corps from 2006 to 2014. His real estate journey began in residential mortgage, after which he transitioned to starting his own hostel business in Tacoma, Washington. Dino successfully expanded this business to four other locations before selling the company in 2020.
He then took a brief pause to teach English in Japan and traveled throughout Southeast Asia. During his time in Japan, he also invested in property and established a holding company for future investments. Now back in San Francisco, Dino is studying Japanese part-time with the intention of advising clients in both the United States and Japan. He has been admitted to Cornell University and plans to start a Master's program in Hospitality Management in the Fall of 2024.
Dino's dream is to reinvent the hotel and co-living space by providing luxury amenities at a budget price, catering to both short and long-term stays and addressing the need for affordable housing. He aims to build a community that embodies the spirit of traveling and connects people from around the world. His plan is to start in Asia and eventually expand to the U.S. Initially, he will focus on raising capital by assisting investors in trading hotel assets, gaining the knowledge and experience needed in development and acquisitions.
Dino is eager to learn more about others' companies, their goals, and objectives, as well as about the individuals themselves. He welcomes the opportunity to chat on the phone to hear their stories and explore how they might collaborate to fulfill their missions.
