Don R. Gilliland is a consummate Real Estate professional with over 50 years of experience. As a South Florida Resident for over 40 years, Don’s sphere of influence has provided the highest level of Real Estate service available, and his “repeat” buyers and sellers are a testament to his ultimate goal of satisfying all his customers. Don’s experience and insatiable appetite for the “challenge” and catering to the multiple needs of his customers has made him a specialist in most areas of Real Estate leasing and sales, from luxury waterfront residences to marinas worldwide, from vacant lots to shopping centers, from office parks to beachfront hotels, from intercoastal condos to warehouses, from business opportunities to secure investment properties. As a graduate of Auburn University’s School of Engineering, Don sought to be the best at anything he did and received a Masters’ Degree, with top honors, in Real Estate from Florida International University. Don further achieved the most honorary and educational Realtor designations available to ensure his customers the leading edge of servicing including top-notch marketing and up-to-the-minute technology.
Don is a Past President of Jockey Club Realty and Past Senior Vice President of the famed Jockey Club of Miami. Venturing West, Don lived for several years in Marina del Rey, California and served as Vice President of Marketing for the exclusive Marina City Club, a $150 Million Resort Club, Apartments, Hotel and Marina.
In 1990, Don formed U. S. Realty Investments, a National commercial Real Estate company and one of the leading foreclosure Real Estate companies in South Florida. He represented U. S. Governmental Agencies, major corporate accounts, National and international banks and remained Chairman of this company until its purchase by a Top 5, National Real Estate franchise. Don later formed U. S. Financial Network, a Correspondent Mortgage Lender in Florida and served as Chairman until 1998. Don worked with Coldwell Banker Commercial NRT for 18 yrsrs, the largest Commercial Real Estate Company in the World.
Don’s personal interests include tennis, travel and cooking. He is a World Class Chili Cook and for a decade served as the Chief Judge at the Annual Broward County Chili Championship that has benefited several of his many charities.
