Bio
Don Chiofaro, Jr., has been with The Chiofaro Company since 2001. In 2007, he earned a Master's degree in Real Estate Development from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. At MIT, Don's studies were focused on real estate macroeconomics, financial investment analysis and development feasibility modeling for a variety of real estate types and investment products. Don wrote his thesis on the contrast between "limited-service" versus "full-service" hotel development, investments and management. Don's role with The Chiofaro Company has evolved and expanded in his nearly fifteen years at the firm. Currently, he is principally responsible for the leasing and marketing of International Place and the Harbor Garage. During his tenure in this role, he has overseen nearly 3 million square feet of lease transactions. Moreover, Don spearheaded several ground-breaking retail and technology leases that positioned International Place at the vanguard of the "reinvention" of Boston's traditional Financial District into a highly desirable and diverse 24/7 submarket. Don serves as the firm's principal new business analyst and Project Manager for the Harbor Garage redevelopment. Don graduated from Harvard University with a B.A. in Sociology. He is a member of the Urban Land Institute, NAIOP, A Better City (ABC) and is actively engaged with the Harvard Alumni Association. Don currently resides in Winchester, Massachusetts with his wife and three children.
