Doug Works, First Vice President at CB Richard Ellis (CBRE), has been representing, advising, and servicing clients on all commercial real estate matters for nearly fourteen years. Doug specializes in providing commercial real estate solutions exclusively to tenants and buyers.
Doug provides full service brokerage and consulting services to a wide variety of businesses in North County San Diego including, but not limited to, the cities of Oceanside, San Marcos, Vista, and Carlsbad. Doug is adept at identifying opportunities and creating leverage for his clients on industrial and office properties. His clients appreciate his hard work, attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and creative negotiating strategies.
He and his counterparts provide the market intelligence and leverage that enable clients to make the best possible, most informed commercial real estate decisions. A few of his services include lease renewals, site selection, lease negotiations, and purchase negotiations. In most cases, these services can be provided at no cost. The tremendous CB Richard Ellis platform provides Doug with the tools and resources necessary to execute for clients on local, regional, national, and even international levels. Over the years, Doug has consistently ranked in the top tier of commercial real estate professionals on the basis of transaction volume.
Through his CBRE counterparts around the world and the support of his team, Doug also serves effectively as the commercial real estate resource for the apparel and sports industries helping companies in those industries by connecting them to his partners around the world and remaining in the loop to ensure that each client receives the best deal possible as well as superior advice and service.
Prior to working in the Global Corporate Services Division at CB Richard Ellis, Doug worked on behalf of large institutional landlords of business park properties in Central San Diego (including Prologis, The RREEF Funds, H.G. Fenton Company, Arden Realty, Harsch Investment Properties, INVESCO, and many others). This experience provided Doug with the intimate knowledge of what motivates property owners and the concessions that they can be persuaded to accommodate given the appropriate amount of market intelligence and leverage. Prior to that, Doug worked for the Anheuser Busch Companies in the Promotions Department at Sea World of Florida, where his responsibilities included contract negotiations, competitive reports, promotional van appearances, and coordination of radio/television production in the park.
