Doug Sailor is the managing principal at Mid-America Real Estate – Minnesota, LLC and is the Managing Director of the Minnesota Office. He is responsible for all company operations with a primary focus on Leasing, Property Management and Construction Management. Doug has extensive field experience and success in landlord project leasing, property management, receiverships, and construction management/development. He has served as a landlord representative and receiver in the Minneapolis/St. Paul, Minnesota and Western Wisconsin markets since 1984. Doug works with a variety of retailers, lenders and owners in the market and has successfully completed countless transactions in his career from leases, to sales, to management services, development and construction contracts. Since 1984, he has worked with hundreds of shopping centers, investors, land owners, lenders and landlords.
In 1984, Doug began his retail real estate career as a property manager for Centre’s, Inc., a mall developer in the Midwest based in Milwaukee, WI. In 1989 Mr. Sailor became President of Midwest Management, Inc., a Minneapolis retail development, property management, and leasing firm. In 2000, Mr. Sailor formed Park Midwest Commercial Real Estate. As a third-party shopping center management, leasing and sales firm, Park Midwest built a management and leasing portfolio to over fifty shopping centers and 1.5 million square feet. Doug was also the selling broker in numerous land and vacant building transactions from automotive uses to raw land to vacant restaurant buildings. Doug merged Park Midwest Commercial Real Estate with Mid-America Real Estate-Minnesota, LLC on January 1, 2010. He is currently responsible, with his staff, for all third-party services of over 140 shopping centers and retail properties in the Minneapolis/St. Paul, Minnesota and Western Wisconsin markets totaling over 10 million square feet.
