Duane H. Bennett has been a resident of Palm Beach County since spring of 1980. For the next twelve years, he owned and operated PB Nurseries and Southern Ornamental Plants, a nursery business in Western Boynton Beach. In 1992, he sold his interest in the nursery business. In the spring of 1993, he started his real estate career at Rauch Weaver Millsaps Inc., a well-known and highly respected commercial firm in Fort Lauderdale. His focus was in land and investment sales. In the fall of 1996, he left Fort Lauderdale and joined Merin Hunter Codman, Inc. While he was at Merin Hunter Codman, he was a top producer in four out of the five years he was with the company. He completed the requirements and became a Certified Commercial Investment Member of the Commercial Investment Real Estate Institute in 1997, one of the highest recognized organizations in the field of investment real estate. During the following years, he worked closely with Investors and Developers along the Treasure Coast. On January 1, 2003 Duane became affiliated with Sperry Van Ness, Corporate Real Estate Advisors out of Irvine, California. Duane has represented major corporations, small private companies, and individuals in the acquisition and sale of commercial properties. Duane is also very active in his community and was the past Chairman of the board for Junior Achievement of the Palm Beaches and has served on
the Boards of The Rotary Club of West Palm Beach, the Realtors Commercial Alliance (past president) and Senior Warden at Holy Trinity Episcopal Church. He currently is appointed to serve on the Land Development Regulation Advisory Board and is a member of the Economic Council
of PBC, Inc. and a member of the Business Redevelopment board. Duane
was awarded 2004 and 2005 Dealmaker of the Year award by the Realtors
Commercial Alliance in the categories of land and office transactions. Respectively;
he was also recognized nationally and awarded 2005 Realtor
of the year by the Realtors Commercial Alliance.
Duane Bennett specializes in transactions involving land, and office building
for investors and users. He has also represented corporations in their
site selection process.
