Edward Goldman serves as Executive Vice President at CB Richard Ellis. For over 30 years, he has specialized in both tenant and landlord representation, in addition to property sales and retail transactions.
Prior to joining the firm, he was Chairman of Sutton & Edwards, Inc. for seven years, where he was responsible for overseeing the brokerage offices in Midtown and Downtown Manhattan as well as Long Island. He managed a team of 75 brokers while also acting as broker/consultant for his clients.
Mr. Goldman has consistently negotiated some of the most significant deals in the Metropolitan area. Among his noteworthy accomplishments in Manhattan are the 120,000 square foot lease for Battle Fowler; 50,000 square foot lease for the headquarters of Stanley Kaplan; 110,000 square foot lease for Golden Books; 210,000 square foot lease for Polo/Ralph Lauren, as well as the subleasing of 50,000 square feet and subsequent lease buyout of 310,000 square feet for McCrory Parent Corp. at 888 Seventh Avenue and the lease restructuring for Colgate Palmolive and sale of 300 Park Avenue.
In the late 1990’s, Mr. Goldman, as senior member of the leasing team that represented Forest City Ratner Companies in the negotiations with the New York City Fire Department for their new headquarters relocation to a custom-built, 315,000 square foot, state-of-the-art office building within the MetroTech office complex in Downtown, Brooklyn.
Mr. Goldman’s accomplishments include the Real Estate Board of New York’s 1992 Robert L. Lawrence Memorial Award. The award recognized his representation of the United States Government, Internal Revenue Service, on its acquisition of 280,000 square feet of office space for 20 years in the Durst Organization’s property at 1133 Avenue of the Americas.
