Elvin is an accomplished Executive with over 23 years of experience handling complex commercial real estate transactions. He began his legal career as an Associate in the Atlanta office of Troutman Pepper Hamilton Sanders LLP, an international law firm with more than 1200 attorneys. He later served as a Managing Attorney for a boutique real estate law firm in the metropolitan Atlanta area. In 2008, he left private practice and joined the Walmart Stores, Inc. Legal Department where he served as Associate General Counsel for nearly 8 years. After his tenure with Walmart, Elvin began his current role as a Director in the Chick-fil-A, Inc. Legal Department. In this role, Elvin is responsible for leading a team of attorneys, paralegals and administrative professionals in connection with the development of new Chick-fil-A restaurants. He leads all legal aspects of restaurant development for Chick-fil-A’s Midwest and Southeast regions. Elvin also serves on the Chick-fil-A, Inc. Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Advisory Council and he is the Founding Chair of the Chick-fil-A Legal Department’s Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Committee. Elvin is a 1997 graduate of Morehouse College and a 2000 graduate of Emory University School of Law. He is also a member of the Emory University School of Law Alumni Board of Directors. Elvin is an avid Atlanta Hawks, Braves and Falcons fan and enjoys attending sporting events, traveling and spending time with his wife Kimberly and their two sons Donovan and Mason.
