After a 23 year career as owner/general manager of a multi-franchise automotive dealership group, I decided to "retire" and work in my dream field - Real Estate. I jumped in with both feet!
I founded Cen Cal Land & Cattle Company in 2018 and began investing in commercial real estate. Cen Cal Land & Cattle Company selects markets in the Central San Joaquin Valley of California where leverage and capitalization rates support our model. We choose areas with a strong economic base, a growing workforce, and low price to rent ratios. By acquiring assets with deferred maintenance in superior locations, we achieve increased value by renovating and relaunching the asset in the market or by increasing value through added revenue streams.
Next, I partnered with a local investor to form Cen Cal Capital. We are involved in fix-and-flips, wholesaling, and buy-and-hold investments in the San Joaquin Valley. We target homes in the Central Valley from Fresno to Modesto (along with Highway 99) and Los Banos. Once a property is identified, we look for the best outcome - buy & hold, fix & flip, or wholesale to our network of buyers.
I am open to investing anywhere that I can find good returns, but am most interested in investing in the communities I call home - the Central Valley of California (Sacramento to Bakersfield).
Finally, an opportunity to own a brokerage was presented to me by one of my mentors, Mike Salvadori. Mike owned Century 21 Salvadori Realty for over 40 years and was looking to exit. I bought the brokerage and took it private, re-branding it as Next Door Real Estate. I am fortunate in that nearly every one of Mike's Realtors decided to stay on at Next Door.
