Bio
A Detroit native, Eric is an Alumni of Michigan State University. Upon graduation, he received a commission as an Officer in the United States Air Force. After serving his country for five years, in locations stretching from California (back when it was a good place to live) to the Southern Mediterranean, Eric honorably resigned from the service in 1989 and moved to Fort Collins where he began his career in real estate. For over 30 years, Eric has worked in nearly every facet of ?the real estate industry. Clients range from homeowners to investors, builders, developers, national retailers and hotels, Fortune 500 corporations and REITs. Primarily operating as developer/owner representative, Eric has extensive experience in site selection, assemblage (to include entire City blocks), acquisition, planning, development, point of purchase sale ops and asset dispositions. He’s worked on 27 development projects ranging from single family, multi-family, mixed-use, neighborhood shopping centers, quick service restaurants, industrial/warehouse and was part of the team that built the first downtown loft project in Northern Colorado. Eric’s service to the community was extensive. President of Fort Collins Board of Realtors in 2005-06. Board of Directors Legacy Land Trust. E-470 Blue Ribbon Committee (when the road was just a dream) … various committees concerning City planning … the Chamber of Commerce … the Symphony … and for several years was a guest instructor at Colorado State University and a business columnist for the local newspaper. Now in the final stages of a real estate career, Eric has whittled down his efforts to serving the real estate needs of a few commercial clients while operating his small horse ranch located just south of the Wyoming border (much more fun than sitting on committees). Eric’s philosophy and key to success: Keep it simple, stay focused, listen more – speak less, create win-win situations and always … take the high road… despite what curves life may toss your way.
