Bio
Specializing in the design and implementation of solutions to complex real estate challenges, Evan leads a team who provides end-to-end solutions – from strategic planning and space design through relocation management – with specialization in site selection, workplace design and lease/financing negotiations. Most of his work is for large, enterprise-critical real estate projects or as relationship manager for corporate relationships. Projects include master planning and relocation of a 360,000 square-foot corporate headquarters, restructure of a 400,000 square-foot corporate headquarters lease, distressed debt recapitalization for a tenant of a 560,000 square-foot headquarters and build-to-suit development / redevelopments for office and industrial facilities.
Clients benefit from the lowest real estate cost structure by minimizing landlord returns during lease/purchase negotiations and/or sourcing the lowest costs of capital.
His previous experience representing landlords in both leasing and acquisitions brings a 360-degree perspective to the real estate process. With the Winston Management Corporation and Investors Equities’ Corporation, he directed the acquisition, leasing and management of a 1 million-square-foot portfolio of office and industrial properties.
Through property repositioning and an aggressive campaign, he increased same-store revenue by 30 percent and expanded the office portfolio by 37 percent.
Professionally, he serves on the programs committee of the Urban Land Institute and am a member of CoreNet and the Executives Club of Chicago. He cares deeply for the enablement of Chicago’s youth. He currently serves as a director to Goodcity NFP and previously served on the advisory board of Perspectives Charter School, mentored inner-city high school juniors, volunteered through Junior Achievement at an inner city school and served on a steering committee of the Greater Chicago Food Depository’s Real Estate Awards Dinner.
