Bio
Eyal Cohen is President and Chief Executive Officer of Marcarko Ltd., 555 Chabanel's on-site property management company. He is responsible for overseeing this over one million square foot building, including managing day-to-day operations, implementing development strategies, leasing, and coordinating and overseeing renovation and construction projects on the property.
Eyal Cohen has over 22 years of experience in the growth and layout of this property. Driven by his keen sense of innovation, he led numerous initiatives in the marketing, promotion and rental strategies of 555 Chabanel that contributed to the success and reputation of the building. He is highly regarded in the real estate sector and, as a result, has been called upon to participate in several development projects coordinated by various interest groups in the public and private sectors. He has brought his expertise to several organizations such as the Regroupement de la Direction Chabanel, which works in collaboration with the City of Montreal to renew and promote the Chabanel district. Mr. Cohen is a director of Liaison Mode Montréal, a non-profit organization whose mandate is to promote Montreal as the epicenter of fashion and design in Canada. He also served as president of Promomode Corporation, another non-profit corporation.
His commitment, integrity and knowledge of the industry are well known in the real estate community. With the support of a dedicated and professional team, he seeks to guide 555 Chabanel through economic downturns not only to maintain but also strengthen the building's reputation for excellence among all commercial buildings in Montreal.
Eyal Cohen has a degree in aviation electronics engineering. He was also a candidate for the position of councillor of the City of Montreal. He is deeply involved in his community and is an active member of the St. Lawrence Community Centre, where he served as president from 2005 to 2007. He is also a member of the Chesed Shaar Committee, which, under the auspices of the United Sephardic Community of Quebec (UQCS), raises funds to help the poorest in the community.
