Bio
I have been with Berkshire Hathaway for nearly 4 years, but previously worked in the commercial real estate business in sales and property management with Gold & Co through Sheffield Real Estate. With a previous employer as a Regional Facility Service Director, I served on the Board of BOMA and participated on the committee for a MAC Conference. I also served on the Boards of IFMA, PA Apartment Association, Greater Pittsburgh Hotel Association and IREM as their Vendor Relations Coordinator.
I was given numerous awards from these organizations for my work and volunteerism. Some of them included Vendor of the Year, Presidents Award and Humanitarian of the Year for my work with the Salvation Army and efforts to feed the needy in Pittsburgh by gathering food from various apartment complexes.
As a Business Continuity Professional, I worked with Nursing Homes to develop their disaster plans and help them with their evacuation plans. I helped develop a disaster plan for the Carnegie Museum Systems which included the Andy Warhol Museum and The Carnegie Science Center. Their disaster plan was planned on a system that catered to their needs and allowed them to access it via their Smart Phones. In addition, we also aided them with community connections to learn more about active shooters, firefighter and police response.
In addition to writing disaster response plans for these entities, I also worked closely with the apartment community and several other businesses in Pittsburgh.
As part of my experience teaching continuing education classes, I was given the opportunity to speak in front of many groups both here in Pittsburgh and other areas around the country; HUD asked me to attend their national conference in Las Vegas to discuss disaster planning; the historical society of Annapolis Maryland asked that I hold a CE session on preserving artifacts; The Catholic Diocese invited me to speak on restoring churches at their conference in Los Angeles.
