Bio
With more than 30 years of industry experience, Frank Baldasare, senior vice president, is responsible for originating Agency and FHA/HUD financing for market rate and affordable properties located nationwide. He also originates financing for ARA Finance, a joint venture between Walker & Dunlop and Apartment Realty Advisors.
Since 1991, Mr. Baldasare has been involved in the origination of approximately $2.0 billion in multifamily financing, including affordable housing developments, utilizing tax exempt bonds and low-income housing tax credits, as well as market rate transactions.
Prior to joining Walker & Dunlop in 2012, Mr. Baldasare served as senior vice president and regional manager of the Southeast regional office at CWCapital LLC, where he was responsible for Agency and FHA/HUD loan origination. Previously, Mr. Baldasare held the position of vice president at ARCS Commercial Mortgage, where he was responsible for the origination of affordable multifamily loans in the Southeast and market rate multifamily loans in Florida. Prior to that, Mr. Baldasare was managing director of Cohen Financial, a real estate investment banking firm where he arranged debt and equity capital for multifamily and commercial properties.
Mr. Baldasare has been an active member in the Mortgage Bankers Association of Florida, where he previously served as president and regional governor. He is a member of the Multifamily Leadership Board of the National Association of Home Builders, the board of the National Housing & Rehabilitation Association, the National Housing Conference, the Multifamily Division of the National Association of Home Builders and the National Multi-housing Council. Mr. Baldasare is a frequent speaker at these and other industry conferences. Mr. Baldasare earned a Bachelor of Science in business administration from Auburn University, where he attended on an athletic scholarship.
