Bio
As the Director of Childress Klein’s Investment Management, Gareth is responsible for the asset management of CK’s suburban office division portfolio. This includes overseeing their leasing and operations, financial management, as well as all renovations and capital improvement projects.
In his role at Childress Klein, Gareth is dedicated to ensuring that each project aligns with the owner’s objectives, enhancing overall asset value, and delivering a best-in-class result, all while maintaining strict adherence to timelines and budget. At the heart of his role is the development and upkeep of active working relationships with all stakeholders, ensuring accurate and timely information exchange to avoid costly delays and unnecessary rework.
Before joining Childress Klein, Gareth served as an infantry officer in the army, performing missions in the Middle East and Africa with both the 82nd and 101st Airborne Divisions. He then transitioned to Charlotte, working as a project manager for Charlotte Pipe and Foundry. Here, he managed process and capital improvement projects for the company’s largest production plants, with the primary objective of increasing and maximizing capacity utilization.
Gareth’s military discipline and initiative offer a unique perspective to his work at CK. “I’m invigorated by the fact that each project is distinct, and while the financials need to align, there isn’t a single, rigid formula for project success. The opportunity to tangibly experience the fruits of my labor and contribute to creating a vibrant hub in the community is what truly inspires me,” says Gareth.
