Early in his career, Garrett had the privilege of leading technology integration in school districts across Illinois, including working with Chicago Public Schools, the fourth-largest district in the U.S. This experience laid the foundation for his passion for education technology, which he pursued by founding Modern Teacher—a venture focused on transforming instructional technology. Through Modern Teacher, Garrett was able to influence how students learn in thousands of classrooms nationwide.
After successfully exiting the education sector, Garrett transitioned into FinTech and foreign exchange strategy. Drawing on his experience in SaaS development and organizational change management, he now advises enterprise-level organizations on streamlining their accounts payable (AP) and foreign exchange (FX) workflows. His current focus is on helping companies strategically leverage AI and AP automation to improve operational efficiencies in global payables and payment management.
