Gary Rosenberg has worked full time in the commercial real estate business since 1988. After graduating from Florida State University with a B.S. in Finance, he spent six years learning the retail and restaurant business from the ground up through ownership and sales positions. With a firm foundation in retail and sales, Gary joined his brother, Jeffrey Rosenberg, in Plaza Development Realty, Inc., an established shopping center management and leasing company in South Florida. Gary's company, Rosenberg Realty, provided the leasing services for Plaza Development's seven properties in Dade & Broward Counties. Those properties included Publix-Anchored Plantation Towne Square in Plantation, FL, Publix-Anchored Colonial Shopping Center and Colonial Square in South Miami-Dade County, FL, Miami Gardens Shopping Plaza in Miami Gardens, FL, Las Villas and Market Square Shopping Centers in Miami, FL and the Lincoln-Drexel Building on famous and fashionable Lincoln Rd in Miami Beach, FL.
In 2012, three of the properties were acquired by Publix Supermarkets as a direct result of over two decades of Gary's and Jeff's successful leasing and management performance. In the last 25 years as a part of a family business, Gary has negotiated and signed over 600 leases with both national and mom & pop tenants for retail stores, encompassing hundreds of thousands of square feet across South Florida. By recruiting tenants and negotiating leases with companies as diverse as locally owned and operated dry cleaners, women's clothing stores and local restaurants to big national and regional tenants including Starbucks, Athletes Foot, Chicken Kitchen, Publix, Bank United, Hallmark and Space Coast Credit Union, Gary's vast experience and understanding of the business of retail and the real estate market gives him the ability to creatively and confidently represent his clients in South Florida. Gary is a native born Miami Beach resident, Miami Beach High graduate and a former Board Member of Temple Beth Sholom. He has been a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC) for 20 years is a skilled potter and a certified hypnotist.
