George Avgerakis began in commercial real estate in 1976 when he started to buy and renovate 19th Century multi-family brownstones in downtown Brooklyn. After acquiring a small multi-family portfolio, he started Avekta Productions, a Madison Avenue marketing communications agency specializing in video, Internet and social media. Clients included Pfizer, IBM, Warner, The Ice, Ferrari, The ICE, US Army, Ralph Lauren, Alize, Hampton Inns, and Trump, IBM, The ICE, Pfizer, MoMA, AIG and Trump, JVC. This produced significant experience in medical, high tech, finance, automotive, finance, military, retail, beverage, hospitality, and real estate. McGraw-Hill published two of George's three instructional books on media production and he may have created the first residential adjustable-rate mortgage in 1980. Educated at the University of Maryland and London Film School, George has taught at Goldsmiths, University of London; City University of NY; 4th Battalion PSYOPS Fort Bragg, and the annual National Association of Broadcasters. George is a regular contributor to Forza | The Magazine About Ferrari, and enjoys restoring and driving cars, flying, sailing, and writing.
