Bio
For 24 years, Geri has specialized in serving buyers and sellers of restaurants, clubs, bars and a range of other retail businesses. In her own brokerage firm for most of that time, she operated out of an office in Cromwell and then Old Lyme. As a Lyman broker/associate, Geri’s special expertise is an immense help to sellers and buyers when the value of a business is central to the real estate transaction.
Geri provides sellers and buyers with the fair market value of their business, lease and/or property financial analysis, cash flow projections, town inspections and approvals, and food and liquor licensing, offering full service to buyers and sellers, from purchase offer to closing. Her capabilities are available both to her own listings and, when appropriate, to those of other Lyman agents.
In the 1980's, before becoming a specialty real estate broker, Ms. Jacobson owned the Village Fish Market and Restaurant on the renovated old city docks in Punta Gorda, Florida. There, she was deeply involved in all aspects of the business, from purchasing, training, computerization and launching new menus, to adding seating and a beer and wine license. Overlooking Charlotte Harbor, her restaurant was a favorite among locals. She often bought product directly off the deep water fishing boats that came in from the Gulf and stopped at restaurants along the shore.
Since 2006, Geri has resided in Old Lyme with her teenage daughter.
