Mr. Novo well-respected reputation in the industry, capital markets expertise, and transactional experience has elevated him to one of the most active commercial loan originators in Southern California. Mr. Novo has successfully financed and closed more than $400M of commercial real estate loans throughout his career. He is an expert in financing commercial real estate in all major asset classes including multifamily, retail, office, industrial, and construction loans. Mr. Novo served as the Managing Director of New York based Silverthread Capital (formerly Coldwell Banker Commercial Alliance Capital Markets), a mortgage broker intermediary. Mr. Novo was Silverthread Capital’s top producer and oversaw the West Coast loan origination team. Prior to joining Silverthread Capital, Mr. Novo co-founded The Real Estate Finance Group, Inc., a start-up focused on financing commercial real estate projects for private middle-market investors. Mr. Novo began his career at Marcus & Millichap Capital Corporation in 2009 and was responsible for underwriting new debt assignments and business development. Within the first year at Marcus & Millichap Capital Corporation, Mr. Novo was advising major clients on strategic debt and investment decisions. His ability to quickly accelerate in his role allowed him to launch and grow the finance companies mentioned above. Mr. Novo was born and raised in Los Angeles, California. He attended Loyola Marymount University, earning a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Finance. Mr. Novo is a member and active contributor of the LMU Real Estate Alumni Group. He is also a member of ICSC (International Council of Shopping Centers) and MBA (Mortgage Bankers Association). He actively participates in marathons, triathlons, and other endurance competitions. Mr. Novo enjoys investing in the stock market and overseeing construction and renovation activities on his personal real estate projects.
