Bio
From his base in Silicon Valley, Greg Matter has advised some of the Bay Area’s biggest and most well-known companies, assisting them over the years in site selection, location strategies and complex real negotiations. His delivery model integrates business consulting strategies with a full range of implementation services enabling him to secure solutions that best support the client’s operational goals and objectives.
Greg also leads the firm’s Advanced Manufacturing Group, which reaches into all aspects of manufacturing, including global supply chain and logistics/industrial real estate. He has written extensively and been widely interviewed on topics involving industrial real estate, and was the author of a recent JLL report on the state of manufacturing in California.
Greg began his career at Colliers International and joined JLL more than eight years ago, where he has completed more than $1.2 billion in real estate transactions to date.
Greg attended the University of Colorado where he acquired a bachelor’s degree in Political Science.
In 2013, Greg was a founding member of the Silicon Valley Manufacturing Roundtable, an organization established to provide awareness of the resources that exist for manufacturers in the area, and a continued forum for discussion of key issues.
Greg is a board member of Joint Venture Silicon Valley and an associate member of the Industrial Asset Management Council (IAMC), the leading trade association for corporate real estate executives focused on an industrial portfolio. He is also a member of the Silicon Valley Manufacturing Roundtable and the Industrial and Office Realtors (SIOR).
Greg lives in San Carols where he is on the Economic Development Commission, and coaches youth soccer, softball and baseball.
