Gregory C. Cassel, Commercial Asset Manager, is responsible for providing portfolio analysis and valuation to best manage High Real Estate Group LLC’s investment portfolio. High Real Estate Group currently owns, directly or through syndication and joint venture, nearly 10 million square feet of office, industrial, retail, hotel and multi-family residential space. Greg's responsibilities include lease analysis, lease negotiations, income & expense budgeting, financial modeling, cash flow analysis, profitability analysis and portfolio asset management.
In addition to asset management functions, Greg also manages the financing requirements of assets currently held in the real estate portfolio. This consists of evaluating current financial market conditions along with existing debt and capital requirements to maintain a desired return on investments.
Greg joined the High Real Estate Group in 2005 as a Senior Financial Analyst. Prior to joining the High Real Estate Group, he spent seven years with Freddie Mac where he acquired extensive knowledge of the multifamily/commercial real estate industry. Greg worked for three years in the Market Research & Portfolio Analytics group as a Financial Analyst and another four years in the Capital & Portfolio Management group as a Senior Financial Manager.
After graduation from George Mason University, Greg completed additional courses at the Appraisal Institute in Chicago, Illinois. His memberships and participation in real estate industry groups includes the Mortgage Bankers Association of America and the Association for Investment Management and Research. Additionally, he holds a professional certificate of expertise in Commercial Real Estate Finance from the Mortgage Bankers Association of America.
George is active in his community through his involvement with the Capital Area Soccer Association, Old Iron Estates Home Owners Association and the Penn Colonial Swim Club.
