Hark Aggarwal is an Associate Director, Investments with 7 years of experience performing financial analysis in the real estate industry. A particular focus of his is the concept of value in business. He strives to combine this theme with his interest in real estate. During his undergrad at the Schulich School of Business, he undertook challenges to enhance these skills including obtaining his CPA, and completing his Post Graduate Valuation Certificate at the Sauder School of Business.
Hark’s experience in finance and investments allows him to maintain good breadth and depth of knowledge and experience in Canadian real estate. He has explored and worked on various real estate transactions. Through numerous capital projects, asset dispositions/acquisitions, joint ventures, and developments he has gained exposure to transaction structures in all major asset classes. With experience in finance, Hark has a continued interest in learning how the underlying business can drive value.
Value-Add Services
Prepare financial models to evaluate various types of real estate investments for acquisition, disposition, redevelopment, leasing, debt financing and value add purposes. Evaluate and analyze a variety of financial results and indicators such as capital expenditures, depreciation, proposals, investment opportunities, rate of return, profit plans, operating records, financial statements for pricing assets and negotiations. Analyzing specific aspects of equity, debt and lease transactions and recommend ways to improve structure to be more efficient and/or effective in order to create value.
