Born and raised in Alaska with an independent “can do” attitude, Harley trained championship St. Bernard dogs and started his own successful window washing business as a teen. Then at age 18 Harley joined the Army National Guard for a 6-year term and attended college in Michigan for Electrical Engineering and business. In 1998 at the age of 23 Harley purchased his first home in Seattle as an investment property and remodeled it himself which launched his career into the wonderful world of real estate.
Harley wanted to share his passion for real estate with others and help them obtain their goals. Reading every real estate and investing book and course he could get his hands on, Harley educated himself about all the many facets of real estate over the next several years while he utilized his Army training working for the City of Seattle operating their municipal drinking water plants. Then in 2005 Harley started his own mortgage brokerage called Motivated Mortgage and worked as a loan officer originating residential loans for happy clients. This was to prove to be an excellent experience as Harley then went to work at RE/MAX in downtown Redmond, WA as a full time Real Estate agent in 2007. Leaving RE/MAX a year later Harley teamed up with Real Estate Investment Firm and helped build their Auction and Retail Resale division to new heights. This proved to be extremely valuable experience for Mr. Dufek as he was involved in dozens of investment flip transactions from purchase acquisition using hard money, managing the renovations, and selling the finished product on the open market.
Being a visionary and leader is hard work and in January of 2010 Harley opened the doors of Exclusive Home Realty a retail residential brokerage. For the next seven years Harley built and maintained an award-winning team of hand selected agents and assistance helping him sell well over 100 houses per year with a peak of 185 transactions in a single year.
In 2015 Harley started to formally coach real estate team leaders and business owners around the nation that wanted to increase their business. To date Harley has helped dozens of agents and business owners break through barriers in their business to achieve their goals.
2016 brought large expansion changes for Harley as he relocated from Seattle to Falls Church Virginia and teamed up with Kristy Moore and Local Expert Realty. Kristy and Harley have very similar professional backgrounds and the decision to join forces has led to some exciting advancements.
