Having grown up in Brooklyn, New York Harold Gerber attended Hofstra University where he obtained a B.S. and MBA Degree. After college, he served in the US Army Signal Corps during the Korean conflict and commenced his Real Estate career a short time after being discharged from military service. Harold's initiation into the Real Estate arena commenced simultaneously with being admitted into the evening session of New York Law School where he received his law degree and is currently a member of the New York Bar. Gerber began his Real Estate career with a local Jersey City realtor where he learned the brokerage business from the ground up. In 1973 he joined with Frank Somma to form a company known as Gerber/Somma Associates, Inc. currently recognized as one of the leading investment property brokerage firms in New Jersey. Harold's membership in this elite group combined with his 48 years experience in the industry has warranted his reputation as a formidable dealmaker who brings enormous skill and experience to the negotiating table. Living in New York City for the past 20 years and having been married to Dee Dee for nearly 50 years have magnified their interests in both opera and ballet. In addition, Harold is an enthusiastic follower of all major sports and receives great enjoyment from spending much time with his 2 children, their spouses and 4 grandkids.
