Bio
Hector is originally from the Rio Grande Valley in Texas and graduated from San Antonio College with an Associate’s Degree in Applied Science. In 2004, he moved to Laredo and joined the healthcare industry. In 2007, he started Laredo Hospice Care, where together with a dedicated team of professionals, they assisted many patients and families dealing with a terminal illness. His wife, Sandra Mendiola Alaniz is an experienced Realtor since 2005 and received her brokers license in 2012 when they opened the RE/MAX real estate franchise in Laredo. In June 2016, he joined the RE/MAX team in Laredo as Director of Operations to assist in their rapid growth. Hector has over 25 years experience in business management and business ownership. RE/MAX of Laredo has become one of the fastest growing real estate offices in Laredo and they have received the People’s Choice award from Laredo Morning Times 8 consecutive times from 2015 to 2022. He is a member of Laredo Gateway Rotary Club, a member of the Small Business Committee in the Laredo Chamber of Commerce, a former TREPAC Trustee for Region 7 - Texas Realtors, a former member and officer of the Elks Lodge in Corpus Christi and San Antonio, former member of Founder Lions Club in San Antonio, and former member of Leon Valley Chamber of Commerce. He is an avid golfer and enjoy spending time with family and friends. They have two dogs, Luke and Anika and they love to support local charities. Hector received my Accredited Commercial Professional designation in 2018 and my CCIM designation in October 2022.
