Henry Poer joined SRS in 2022 as Senior Vice President and Managing Principal in the Atlanta office. He co-leads the office alongside Scott Tiernan.
Henry has more than 20 years in the retail real estate industry, most recently as an executive managing director in Savills’ Atlanta office. He specializes in representing retail clients with multi-market requirements and has expertise in many aspects of retail real estate including site selection, research, construction management, and lease negotiation. Henry has experience working with a wide breadth of retail categories such as fitness, restaurant, luxury, and fashion. As a broker representing national clients, Henry expresses the importance of staying informed of the trends and anticipating what is coming up next for his clients as retail is an ever-changing environment.
Before his time with Savills, Henry spent seven years at CBRE where he was the master broker for the national rollouts of Frontgate, Ballard Designs, and OVME. Before joining CBRE in 2012, Henry was COO of the David H. Poer Company where he successfully negotiated lease and sales transactions totaling over 3 million square feet and more than $500 million in sales. In five years in that role, he completed over 50 deals in excess of 15,000 square feet.
Henry has been a member of the Atlanta Commercial Board of Realtors since 2011 and was recognized as a Top Ten Producer in the Retail category for eight years in a row, including Top Retail Broker honors in 2016. He is also a member of ICSC. An avid golfer, Henry has served as a board member of First Tee of Atlanta, a youth development organization that enables young people to develop confidence and other life skills through golf. Henry and his wife have two wonderful children. He can generally be found coaching his son’s little league baseball games or his daughter’s Tophat soccer games. When he’s not cheering for his kids on the weekends, he likes to spend time on the golf course.
