Howard Poretsky has closed over 10 million square feet of leasing transactions over the course of his 25 years in the industry. With noteworthy clients ranging from law, financial, fashion, media and nonprofit, Howard has earned a reputation for his responsiveness, creativity, precise forecasting and meticulous attention to detail as an avid, results-driven professional. He prides himself in having built a successful career working with through commitment, determination and loyalty to his clients. Throughout every transaction, Howard works tirelessly on behalf of his clients and participates in every aspect of the real estate process as a strategic partner consistently crafting tenant-favorable transactions. His in-depth financial analyses will enable his clients (not the landlord) to control their lease or occupancy structure. His areas of expertise in strategic commercial real estate planning include early lease restructurings and renewals, relocations and the acquisitions and dispositions of facilities. Howard has an in-depth understanding of the New York real estate market which enables him to structure multifaceted occupancy solutions that align with his clients’ business goals. Howard’s transactions include a 70,000 square-foot acquisition and 90,000 square-foot disposition on behalf of PLI, as well as a 40,000 square-foot lease on behalf of OTC Markets Group. He also solidified a 50,000 square-foot headquarters sale and acquisition of a 30,000 square-foot commercial condominium on behalf of FPWA and a 100,000 square-foot complex lease on behalf of the BRC. Howard is involved with several philanthropic causes including the FSH Society, The Muscular Dystrophy Foundation, Habitat for Humanity, UJA Federation and the development of clean water wells in Africa. Howard is a member of the Real Estate Board of New York (REBNY) as well as the Young Men’s & Women’s Real Estate Association (YMREA). He is also active with the Grand Central Partnership.
