Bio
Ian Zilla joined Studley (now Savills) in 2005 as a member of the Corporate Services Group (CSG), a team that bridges the worlds of commercial real estate, corporate finance and management consulting. In addition, Ian’s prior background in computer science, technology and finance complements his team’s quantitative strategic planning approach and financial consulting services. Particularly, these strengths contribute to clients’ mission-critical facilities and complex headquarters transactions.
Ian’s experience with critical power acquisition, as well as his expertise with scenario modeling and financial analysis, has placed him in an integral role within CSG. He has become one of the practice leaders of the Savills Critical Facilities Group (CFG) working on some of Savills largest and most complex transactions. He has helped his team continue its long record of successfully integrating tenant and landlord objectives to create optimal financial structures and solutions for occupiers and users of space, power and connectivity.
Ian has gained national experience implementing portfolio-wide strategies with a focus on data center and headquarters transactions. Some of Ian’s experience includes a 25MW data center for Anthem in Virginia, 7MW for SunGard Availability Services in Toronto, New Jersey and Boston, restructure of 1.4M square feet nationally for ABB and 1.2MW for Verisk Analytics in New Jersey. Additional highlights include a 4.5MW data center and 560,000 SF build-to-suit campus for Brocade in Silicon Valley, 2MW for HP, and numerous specialty HQ assignments for a variety of client types including Harman, E! Entertainment Television, FOX, Invesco, and Acorda Therapeutics.
