Green Slate Land & Development is the culmination of 12 years of planning, determination, and helping others succeed. A native Floridian, Ike Cottle started attending the University of Central Florida in 2006— one of the top engineering schools in the country—but was soon drawn to business as he knew he wanted to build his own. Having been intrigued by the power of finance, he was soon drawn to real estate as the largest alternative asset class. Under the tutelage of Dr. Randy Anderson and then PhD student Dr. Joshua Harris, he doubled down on his commitment to gain real estate knowledge and professional skills by being admitted as the youngest cohort member of the inaugural Professional Master of Science in Real Estate program at the downtown campus of the University of Central Florida in 2010.
Having a solid education foundation has allowed Ike to gain experience working with some of the most successful real estate professionals and firms in Orlando. He has experience working for a broad spectrum of real estate companies including: a regional retail developer, a national commercial real estate appraiser, a debt and equity capital markets firm, a boutique full service brokerage and property management firm, and both affordable and luxury residential real estate development companies. In that time, Ike has gained experience in markets throughout Florida, Georgia, and Texas.
Ike decided to re-brand his brokerage firm as Green Slate Land & Development in 2018. He continues to provide development and consulting services to home builders, master developers, affordable and luxury residential developers, commercial development firms, and family owned investment companies.
