Bio
Jacob has been in the real estate world for over 20 years with experience in real estate digital marketing, brokerage operations, and consulting before joining Compass as an agent. He was the Founder of the largest hospitality real estate marketplace in the country and has previously marketed over 30,000 listings totaling over $12 billion throughout the United States supporting sellers and brokers. He also headed up marketing, operations, and growth for a commercial/business brokerage where he planned and executed the strategic expansion of a single broker office to a California-wide operation with over 1,300 completed transactions. Jacob started his career with the top international hospitality real estate consulting firm where he worked on over $3 billion of commercial real estate financing transactions for proposed and existing developments and led the preparation of a sales offering of a 9-figure luxury resort which successfully sold. Having had experience in commercial valuation, Jacob is highly adaptable and resourceful in providing clients with valuation insight into the areas they are searching. Jacob brings his experience in real estate, valuation, digital expertise, hospitality, and Bay Area market knowledge to provide his clients with an optimal real estate buying and selling experience.
Jacob is a Marin native, fourth-generation San Francisco Bay Area resident, and currently resides in the Peacock Gap area of San Rafael with his wife Aimee, and two children who currently attend Glenwood Elementary. He is a partner in the Marin Suites Hotel in Corte Madera and has been a volunteer coach in the San Rafael Little League for four years. Growing up in Marin, he attended Brandeis Marin, Kent Middle School, and Redwood High School and competed in Twin Cities Little League, Ross Valley Little League, and USTA leagues with the Ross Valley Tennis Club. Jacob is also an alumnus of the Marin Rowing Association where he served as the varsity captain, was on three consecutive state and regional championship boats, and was on back-to-back national championship competing teams that took gold and silver in consecutive years.
