Over the course of James Chung’s successful 19-year career in real estate, he has consistently followed the same motto: Honesty, Integrity, Credibility, and Accuracy. James prides himself on providing his buyers and sellers with reliable information, thoroughly assessing market conditions that impact the sale or purchase of a home, and diligently locating the perfect property for his buyers and renters. In his current role as a Broker associate and marketing specialist at Compass RE Ridgewood & Tenafly office where he has started his real estate career in 2004, James focuses on residential sales and rentals, from condos, co-ops and single- and multi-family homes, to new construction and commercial properties. He works in all areas of Bergen County, including Fort Lee, Palisades Park, Leonia, Cliffside Park, Edgewater, Tenafly, Ridgewood and Hudson, Passaic & Morris County as well. His clients range from first-time buyers and experienced investors, to those who are looking to downsize or in need of relocation services. James’s fluency in Korean also makes him a particularly valuable resource for international investors both locally and abroad. He is not just an agent, but a professional negotiator. Originally from Korea, James has lived in Fort Lee for the past 30 years. He earned a Master of Arts degree from New York University, Outside of real estate, James enjoys tennis, hiking and journalism. He is a columnist for the Korea Daily newspaper in New York and New Jersey, and also publishes English and Korean versions of his “Market Watch” newsletter for his clients every month.
