Since joining Savills in 2006, Jarod Stern has structured lease transactions for prestigious clients in numerous industries. With his expertise, Jarod has successfully implemented custom, innovative solutions that maximize his clients’ business potential. Jarod’s approach to advising tenants involves in-depth market research, financial analysis and modeling, strategic planning, timely transaction management and steadfast lease negotiations.
Over the course of more than a decade, Jarod has totaled in excess of five million square feet of transactions. For one of his most effective projects, Jarod was responsible for initiating and leading The Institute of Culinary Education’s 70,000 square-foot headquarters relocation to Brookfield Place which became a REBNY ‘Deal of the Year’ finalist and was honored by the AFRMC as the ‘Most Innovative Real Estate Transaction of 2013’.
Jarod also initiated and led the New York Liquidation Bureau’s 45,000 square-foot relocation to 180 Maiden Lane, propNspoon’s 45,000 square-foot relocation to Long Island City, MoloLamken's 17,000 square-foot relocation to 430 Park Avenue, International Gemological Institute’s 20,000 square-foot relocation to 551 Fifth Avenue, GLSEN's 12,000 square-foot relocation to 110 William Street and Playbill’s 10,000 square-foot relocation to 729 Seventh Avenue. In addition, Jarod played a key role in United Healthcare’s 65,000 square-foot renewal/restructure at One Penn Plaza, Lippincott's 30,000 square-foot renewal/expansion at 499 Park Avenue, and TJX Companies’ 50,000 square-foot relocation to 5 Bryant Park.
Prior to joining Savills, Jarod practiced corporate bankruptcy law at two law firms with national reputations.
