Commercial real estate with 20+ years experience, closing $900MM+ of transactions to date. Currently Director of Acquisitions for DealPoint Merrill, a premier boutique private equity firm. Responsible for all phases of transaction from underwriting to closing. Developed relationships with major national retail companies (Walmart, Kmart / Sears, Albertson's etc.) to directly purchase assets off-market. Responsible for every aspect of asset repositioning and development including zoning, entitlement, construction and planning, working with city officials to enable repositioning. We have closed 1 million sf representing 15,000 units in 15 properties. Our primary focus is on adaptive reuse and value-added transactions repositioning underperforming real estate assets to self-storage uses. Our self storage conversion properties are managed by CubeSmart the nations #4 largest self-storage REIT by AUM (~$4.0Bn). My prior experience was in ground-up multifamily development. I was responsible for land acquisition and entitlement for low income housing, and closed projects valued at over $400 million.
