Jason Whitworth became a partner with Commercial Property Professionals in February of 2009.
Mr. Whitworth specializes in commercial property sales with a focus on land, representing both purchasers and sellers. Through his eleven years in the business Mr. Whitworth has garnered extensive experience with site selection and disposition of properties for a range of uses such as retail, multifamily, single family subdivisions, mixed use, office, institutional, recreational and investment. Mr. Whitworth has handled individual transactions ranging from $200,000 to over $30,000,000.
Mr. Whitworth began his commercial real estate career in 1996 while finishing his degree at the University of Georgia. He obtained his real estate license and worked with his father at Whitworth Land Corporation in Athens during his last year at UGA. Upon graduating from UGA in 1997 Mr. Whitworth joined Julian LeCraw & Company where he worked along side some of the top land brokers in Atlanta. At LeCraw Mr. Whitworth focused on land sales while also becoming head of the company’s research department.
In September of 2000 Mr. Whitworth moved to Carter & Associates, the southeast’s oldest and largest privately held commercial real estate company. As a broker at Carter Mr. Whitworth accumulated the following awards: Carter Top Ten Producer 2005 & 2006; Freddie Glass- Hustler of the Year 2005; Carter CEO Award 2005; Frank Carter- Most Creative Deal of the Year 2007.
Mr. Whitworth is a Life Member of the Atlanta Commercial Board of Realtors and the ACBR Million Dollar Club. He is also a member of the Young Council of Realtors.
Mr. Whitworth served ten years on the board of the Benedicts of Atlanta and served as president in 2008, he also served four years on the board of the Buckhead Chapter of Ducks Unlimited.
Mr. Whitworth, his wife Laura and two children Will and Lily reside in Brookwood Hills in Buckhead. They are members of Christ the King Cathedral, the Piedmont Driving Club and the Brookwood Hills Community Club.
