I’ve been involved with the local construction and building industry since I was 10 years old through my father’s excavation and trucking business. I know the business from all sides: I’ve built spec houses, developed subdivisions, been both a buyer and seller, listed and sold property as an agent and run American Way Real Estate, the largest real estate company in the area.
I believe in taking an active part in the real estate industry. I’ve served on the Upper Cumberland Association of REALTORS® board of directors for over a decade as well as sitting on the Board of Directors for the Tennessee Association of REALTORS® for a 2 year term. In 2009 I was honored to sit on the National Association of REALTORS® board of directors.
My other strong belief is you get by giving. That fuels my strong desire to work on community projects. I have worked with The American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life for 12 of the 16 years it’s been held in Putnam County and in 2012 I am serving for the second time as the event’s Community Chair. I also currently serve as an Ambassador for the Cookeville-Putnam County Chamber of Commerce.
