A dominant force in Central Florida commercial real estate sales for over 15 years, in 2003 Jeff Pocklington brought together a groundbreaking team to specialize in unanchored strip shopping center sales. It proved to be a very successful enterprise. Pocklington Pocklington & Forster closed on over $300 million in sales and purchase transactions. CoStar Group named all three team members as Orlando's Power Brokers.
After seven years of representing sellers and buyers in more than fifty transactions Jeff realized the outmoded seller/buyer dynamic of unanchored retail strip shopping center sales was ready for an innovative transformation. In February 2009, he resigned from PP&F to fully concentrate his energies on his new vision, Phoenix Retail.
Phoenix Retail corrects an inadvertent consequence in the current unanchored retail strip shopping center sales model. Deteriorating or under-performing centers frequently sell under value because buyers/owners look only for quick realization of income. Unfortunately, many centers with hidden attributes continue to decline and under-perform, oftentimes in very high-potential markets. By utilizing a fund of investors with long-range performance as a criterion, promising properties are bought, remedied, and repositioned to extract increased rental income and sale prices.
